Purpose of the Position

To supervise, coordinate, and organize the work of the Maintenance Department, train all maintenance staff on their duties and responsibilities, communicate with the department to receive all maintenance work orders, enter them, distribute them to technicians, and schedule their appointments.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

• Plan and organize the work schedule and specific tasks for maintenance technicians and staff.
• Establish and maintain the highest standards of maintenance work in all their job responsibilities, procedures, techniques, and policies.
• Conduct daily inspections for the maintenance and replacement of suspended ceilings, replacement of light diffusers, cleaning of AC units, and plumbing and carpentry work.
• Prepare maintenance work orders, work requests, and the monthly maintenance report and preventive maintenance plan.
• Ensure all maintenance staff receive appropriate training and guidance.
• Coordinate with the Housekeeping Department supervisor to maintain standards during cleaning.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly maintenance schedules for all technical areas, and the UPS and generator testing schedule.
• Evaluate the job performance of all maintenance staff and conduct periodic inspections of machines and equipment.
• Assist Maintenance Managers in receiving planned work and making decisions regarding the execution of work orders.
• Assign tasks to technicians and coordinate with the work schedule, and prepare and follow up on purchase requests for maintenance materials.
• Work safely within hospital policies and procedures.
• Participate in person-centered care initiatives and lead these initiatives.
• Enrich the patient experience with empathy, respect, and dignity.
• Perform any other tasks and duties as assigned within the scope of knowledge and skills.

Requirements

• Educational/Professional Qualifications: Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical technical courses.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications.
• Experience: Five (5) years of experience in the same position.
