Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 May 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how tanfidh alkhadamat almadarah Company Ltd. ("Tanfeth", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses personal data when you visit the Shougl platform website at https://shougl.com (the "Site"). It is written to align with the Personal Data Protection Law of Saudi Arabia (the "PDPL") and its implementing regulations.
This Policy covers the Site only. The Shougl platform Employer Application and Job Seeker Application each have their own privacy notices that you can review inside those applications. Those in-app notices describe additional service providers that process your personal data within the mobile applications and are not duplicated here.
By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site. We may update this Policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision, and where changes are material we will notify you in a more prominent manner.
2. Data Controller
The data controller responsible for personal data collected through the Site is:
- Legal name: tanfidh alkhadamat almadarah Company Ltd.
- Trading name: Shougl (شغل)
- Commercial Registration / Unified National Number: 7051941628
- Registered office: Al Ezdihar District, Abdullah Ibn Saud Ibn Abdulaziz Branch, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
- Privacy contact: support@shougl.com
3. Personal Data We Collect
We collect personal data in two principal ways: information you provide to us directly, and information collected automatically when you visit the Site.
(a) Information you provide to us. When you complete a form on the Site (including but not limited to a demo request, contact form, or waitlist sign-up), we collect the information you submit. Depending on the form, this may include:
- Your full name;
- Your work email address and phone number;
- Your job title and company name;
- The size of your company and the typical number of workers you hire; and
- Any free-text message you choose to send us.
(b) Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, certain data is collected automatically by us and our analytics providers, including:
- Your IP address and the approximate location derived from it;
- Device and browser information (device type, operating system, browser name and version, screen size, language);
- Pages you view, links you click, time spent on each page, and the page that referred you; and
- A randomly generated identifier stored in cookies or local storage to distinguish your session.
(c) App-store click data. When you click a "Download App" button on the Site, the click is routed through an attribution link operated by Adjust (see section 7 below). Adjust receives technical click data — such as your IP address, user-agent string, and the time of the click — for the purpose of attributing app installs to the marketing source you came from. Adjust's full mobile SDK is not embedded in the Site; only the outbound link tracker is used.
4. How We Use Personal Data
We use personal data for the following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiries and provide information you request;
- To follow up on demo requests and other commercial leads;
- To send you product updates, marketing communications, and event invitations where you have opted in or where this is otherwise permitted by law;
- To understand how the Site is used so that we may improve it (which pages convert, where users drop off, which sources bring the most relevant traffic);
- To attribute app installs that originate from Site clicks, so that we may measure the effectiveness of our marketing;
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues; and
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations applicable to us in Saudi Arabia.
5. Legal Basis for Processing
Under the PDPL, we rely on the following legal bases for processing your personal data:
- Your consent, where you have actively opted in (for example, by submitting a contact form or accepting marketing emails);
- Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps, where you ask us to take steps before entering into a contract (for example, a demo request);
- Our legitimate interests, where this is permitted by the PDPL — for example, securing the Site against abuse, measuring marketing effectiveness, and improving our product; and
- Compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at support@shougl.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before the withdrawal.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and pixels) to operate, secure, and analyse it. We use:
- Strictly necessary cookies — needed to load the Site and protect it;
- Analytics cookies — help us measure how visitors interact with the Site; and
- Marketing cookies — used to measure the effectiveness of campaigns that bring people to the Site, and to show relevant content on third-party platforms where we advertise.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them at any time. Some parts of the Site may not work properly if you block strictly necessary cookies.
7. Service Providers
The following third-party service providers process personal data in connection with the Site:
| Category | Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Product analytics | PostHog | Captures product analytics events on the Site (page views, clicks, form interactions) for funnel and conversion analysis. |
| Tag manager | Google Tag Manager | A container that loads and manages tags on the Site. May fire additional analytics or marketing tags. |
| Attribution links | Adjust | Click-tracking on outbound app store buttons, used to attribute mobile app installs to Site marketing sources. The full Adjust mobile SDK is not embedded in the Site. |
These providers process personal data only on our instructions or in line with the contract between us and them, and only for the purposes set out above. We review their privacy and security postures before integrating them.
Tools used inside the Shougl platform mobile applications — including Firebase (backend, analytics, push), Crashlytics, Apple Push Notification service (APNs), Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, the full Adjust mobile SDK, and the relevant app-store distribution platforms (Apple App Store, Google Play, Huawei AppGallery) — are described in the privacy notice inside each application and do not apply to your use of the Site.
8. Disclosure of Personal Data
We disclose personal data only:
- To the service providers listed above, strictly to provide the services for which we engage them;
- To professional advisers (such as lawyers, accountants, and auditors) under appropriate confidentiality obligations;
- To public authorities, courts, or regulators where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect our rights or the safety of our users; and
- To a successor entity in the context of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets — in which case we will notify you and ensure that the recipient is bound by privacy commitments at least as protective as this Policy.
We do not sell your personal data.
9. International Transfers
Some of our service providers operate servers outside Saudi Arabia. Where personal data is transferred outside the Kingdom, we do so in accordance with the PDPL and its implementing regulations, including by relying on a transfer mechanism approved by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority ("SDAIA") where required, and by ensuring an adequate level of protection.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which we collected it, including any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. As a general matter:
- Form submissions and lead records are retained for as long as needed to manage the relationship and for a reasonable period after the last contact;
- Analytics data is retained in aggregated or pseudonymised form according to the default retention settings of the analytics tool, unless we choose a shorter window; and
- Server logs are retained for a short period for security purposes.
When personal data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.
11. Security
We apply commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure, or access. These measures include access controls, encryption in transit, and regular review of our service providers. No transmission over the internet is fully secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Your Rights Under the PDPL
Subject to the conditions and limits set out in the PDPL, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- The right to be informed of how your data is processed;
- The right of access to your personal data;
- The right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- The right to request destruction of your personal data when it is no longer needed; and
- The right to withdraw consent for processing based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at support@shougl.com. We will respond within the period required by law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) if you believe your data has been handled improperly.
13. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under the age of eighteen (18), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors through the Site. If you believe a minor has submitted personal data through the Site, please contact us at support@shougl.com and we will take steps to delete that data.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most recent version is always the one published on the Site, and the "Last updated" date at the top of this document indicates when it was last revised. Where changes are material, we will notify you in a more prominent manner (for example, by email or by a notice on the Site).
