Civil engineer required

Job Description

Supervise the execution of civil works, including excavation, installations, backfilling, asphalt, pavements, and constructions related to electrical infrastructure projects, and ensure work is executed according to the technical specifications approved by the Saudi Electricity Company and the standards approved by municipalities and relevant authorities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise the execution of civil works for underground cable extension projects through open-cut or precision excavation.

Monitor backfilling work and ensure the quality of soil used and compaction ratios are according to specifications.

Oversee the implementation of asphalt and pavement restoration works and ensure their compliance with specifications approved by municipalities and the Projects Center.

Coordinate with contractors and approved testing laboratories to conduct material tests, such as compaction tests, soil layers, and asphalt mix.

Review and approve inspection reports and quality tests and issue necessary observations.

Participate in the handover of civil works and document technical observations.

Submit daily and monthly reports illustrating work progress, completion percentage, and technical observations.

Ensure implementation teams adhere to safety instructions and the project's technical specifications.

Coordinate with electrical engineers to ensure integration between civil and electrical works.

Attend technical and field meetings to follow up on work progress and address challenges.

Certifications and Licenses

Professional accreditation from the Saudi Council of Engineers.
