Electrical engineer required

Job Description

Technical supervision of the implementation and maintenance of electrical distribution networks (medium and low pressure), and ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the technical specifications approved by the Saudi Electricity Company, while adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Main Duties and Tasks

• Supervise the implementation of underground and overhead cable extension works, installation of transformers, Ring Main Units (RMU), and distribution panels (MVDP/LVDP).
• Review and approve technical drawings and reports, ensuring their compliance with approved technical specifications.
• Follow up on the implementation of field work and ensure contractors' adherence to the implementation schedule and quality of performance.
• Supervise excavation works, ensuring compliance of excavation depths and wire laying with specifications.
• Supervise wire termination and connection works, and conduct necessary tests before commissioning.
• Check grounding resistance values using designated devices, and ensure the integrity of the grounding system.
• Supervise the initial commissioning of equipment and ensure there are no faults.
• Supervise the backfilling of excavations, ensuring the quality of backfill materials and soil compaction rate, and conducting asphalt mix gradation tests.
• Supervise maintenance works, including resolving faults in distribution systems, transformers, distribution panels, switches, meters, poles, and overhead lines.
• Prepare and submit daily and weekly reports on work progress and project status using approved electronic systems.
• Coordinate with other technical teams (civil, structural, operations and maintenance) to ensure work integration.
• Ensure the application of occupational safety instructions and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Attend periodic meetings with consultants, contractors, and management to follow up on work plans and address challenges.
• Provide technical support and recommendations to improve implementation quality and resolve technical problems.

Professional accreditation from the Saudi Council of Engineers.
