Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points)
- Perform onsite troubleshooting of network issues (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi connectivity)
- Monitor network performance and ensure optimal uptime
- Support end-users with connectivity-related issues (wired and wireless)
- Handle cabling, patching, and rack management in data centers or office environments
- Coordinate with remote IT teams, vendors, and service providers
- Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patching of network devices
- Ensure compliance with security policies and network standards
- Maintain documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and incidents
- Support IT audits and provide necessary reports
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma/bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
2–5 years of experience in network support or similar role
Strong knowledge of:
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
LAN/WAN technologies
Wi-Fi technologies and troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with networking devices (Cisco, HP, Juniper, etc.)
Basic knowledge of firewalls and network security
Familiarity with network monitoring tools
Good troubleshooting and analytical skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Certifications
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
- CompTIA Network+
- ITIL Foundation (optional)
