Job description
Oversee and execute comprehensive mechanical welding quality control inspections, ensuring adherence to project specifications and international standards.
Conduct thorough visual inspections of welds, verifying dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and absence of defects.
Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) such as Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Radiographic Testing (RT) to assess weld integrity.
Review and approve welding procedures (WPS) and welder qualifications (PQR/WPQ) to ensure they meet project requirements and industry best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in field quality assurance and control for mechanical welding projects.
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) from the American Welding Society (AWS) or equivalent international certification.
Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, welding symbols, and relevant international codes (e.g., ASME, API, EN).
