Job description
Monitor and control water treatment processes using SCADA systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of all plant equipment.
Perform routine inspections of equipment (pumps, filters, clarifiers, etc.) and identify any malfunctions or maintenance needs proactively.
Conduct water quality testing and analysis, interpreting results to make informed adjustments to chemical feed rates and treatment processes.
Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including daily logs, chemical usage, and maintenance activities, in compliance with regulatory standards.
High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's degree in environmental science or a related field is preferred.
Possession of a valid Water Treatment Plant Operator certification, issued by a recognized regulatory agency, is mandatory.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the operation of a water treatment plant, with hands-on experience in all aspects of the treatment process.
Experience in municipal water treatment operations is preferred.
