We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Project Control Manager to lead project monitoring and financial governance for our Saudi Aramco pipeline projects. This role is responsible for the strategic integration of scheduling, cost control, and performance measurement to ensure large-scale pipeline infrastructure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Role & Responsibilities:
- Integrated Project Controls: Establish and manage a robust project control system that integrates cost, schedule, and progress measurement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Planning & Scheduling: Oversee Planning Engineers in the development of detailed Baseline Schedules, ensuring critical path analysis aligns with Saudi Aramco’s project management systems.
- Cost Management: Monitor project expenditures and cash flow, identifying budget variances and implementing corrective actions to protect the project's commercial interests.
- Performance Measurement: Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) to provide accurate forecasts and identify potential bottlenecks or schedule slippage.
- Change Management: Evaluate the impact of site condition changes or technical queries (TQIs) on the project budget and timeline, supporting contract amendments.
- Reporting & Data Integrity: Generate comprehensive weekly and monthly progress reports for senior management and Saudi Aramco stakeholders, ensuring data accuracy and technical documentation compliance.
- Risk Mitigation: Support the Project Manager in assessing economic and operational risks, defining mitigation strategies based on real-time site data.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil) or a relevant technical field.
- Aramco Approval: Prior Saudi Aramco approval in a Project Control Manager capacity is required.
- Experience: Minimum 12–15 years in Oil & Gas pipeline construction, with at least 5 years specifically in a project controls leadership role.
- Aramco Background: Deep familiarity with Saudi Aramco project management procedures and Safety General Instructions (GIs).
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Office (Expert Excel), and project management software
Skills and Characteristics:
- Leadership: Strong ability to direct specialized project control teams and interface effectively with multidisciplinary field crews.
- Standards Expertise: Thoroughly conversant with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES) and international quality/safety standards.
- Analytical Thinking: Exceptional capability to interpret complex site data into actionable insights for executive leadership.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for negotiating and presenting technical progress to Saudi Aramco stakeholders.
