Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Laser Machine Operator to join our production team. The candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining laser cutting machines, ensuring accurate cutting quality, material optimization, and safe machine operation according to production drawings and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate fiber laser cutting machines for metal fabrication works.
- Read and understand technical drawings and cutting files.
- Prepare materials and set machine parameters according to production requirements.
- Monitor machine performance and ensure cutting quality and accuracy.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning.
- Optimize material usage to reduce waste.
- Coordinate with production supervisors and drafting teams.
- Inspect finished components before transferring to the next production stage.
- Follow company safety procedures and workshop regulations.
- Report machine issues, material shortages, or production delays to supervisors.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience operating laser cutting machines.
- Experience in metal fabrication and sheet metal works is preferred.
- Knowledge of stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum, and brass materials.
- Ability to read fabrication and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with nesting and cutting software is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Fiber Laser Machines.
- Autocad Experience.
- Knowledge of CNC operations.
- Understanding of production quality standards.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Education
- High School Diploma or Technical/Vocational Certification preferred.
