Job description
Responsible for controlling project cost performance, forecasting final cost, supporting change management, and providing accurate financial and commercial visibility to project and executive management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cost control processes and procedures to track and manage project costs.
- Assist in preparing project budgets in cooperation with all concerned parties.
- Monitor and capture actual costs against budgets and identify variances, providing analysis and recommendations.
- Integrate the work progress with the incurred costs to develop the cost KPIs
- Prepare detailed forecasting reports, accurately highlight variances, and propose corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to optimize costs.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Prepare regular cost control reports for management review
- Maintain cost records and documentation to support audits and compliance
- Capacity to analyze financial data, identify cost trends, and provide recommendations for improvements
Qualifications & Technical Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 6-8 years of experience in cost control
- Hold recognized certificates related to cost management is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in cost estimating, budgeting, and cost accounting principles
- Advanced skills using Excel is a must
- Power BI is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
