Diving Instructor

Conduct PADI scuba diving courses, including Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Discover Scuba Diving, and other approved certification programs.

Lead guided boat dives and shore dives while ensuring the highest standards of diver safety and customer satisfaction.

Deliver comprehensive dive briefings, safety briefings, and post-dive debriefings in both English and Arabic.

Ensure full compliance with PADI standards, local regulations, and Opal Diving Club operating procedures during all diving activities.

Assess weather, sea, and diving conditions to ensure safe and enjoyable diving operations.

Supervise certified and student divers throughout all diving activities, maintaining appropriate instructor-to-student ratios.

Inspect, prepare, maintain, and store scuba diving equipment, ensuring all equipment is safe, clean, and serviceable.

Assist with routine maintenance of dive equipment, compressors, and diving facilities.

Coordinate with boat captains and dive staff to ensure smooth daily diving operations and guest logistics.

Deliver exceptional guest service by creating a safe, enjoyable, and memorable diving experience.

Respond effectively to customer enquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional manner.

Promote environmental awareness by educating guests on marine conservation and responsible diving practices.

Maintain accurate records of student certifications, dive logs, equipment inspections, and incident reports.

Ensure emergency equipment, oxygen kits, and first aid supplies are available and operational before every dive.

Participate in emergency response procedures and administer first aid or emergency oxygen when required.

Support marketing activities by promoting diving programs, specialty courses, and guest experiences.

Assist in researching and developing new dive sites and diving experiences around Yanbu and the Red Sea.

Work closely with the Diving Manager to improve operational efficiency, safety standards, and guest satisfaction.

Maintain a professional appearance and represent Opal Diving Club in accordance with luxury hospitality standards.

Comply with all company health, safety, environmental, and quality policies.

Perform any other duties assigned by the Diving Manager or Operations Management to support the successful operation of the dive centre.

PADI rating - PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) or higher, in current Teaching Status

with membership renewed for the current year.

Verification - Candidate must provide their PADI professional number at application; HR to verify

status via PADI Pro Chek before shortlisting.

EFR - Current PADI Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor rating.

Insurance - Valid professional liability insurance, or eligibility to obtain coverage valid in Saudi

Arabia prior to start date.

Experience - Minimum 200 logged dives (logbook or digital log to be presented at interview).

Teaching history - Minimum 12 months of active teaching experience post-certification.

Medical - Diving medical fitness certificate issued within the last 12 months.

Languages - Fluent professional English (spoken and written) AND Arabic (spoken, working

proficiency minimum) - Arabic is mandatory for guest delivery and safety briefings in the domestic market.

Right to work - Eligible for Saudi employment visa and Iqama sponsorship, or holding a

transferable Iqama.
