Solar Technician

Conduct on-site assessments to determine optimal solar panel placement and system design based on energy needs and site conditions.

Install solar panels, racking systems, inverters, and other electrical components, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and building codes.

Perform electrical wiring and connections, including AC and DC circuits, ensuring proper grounding and voltage levels.

Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions, using diagnostic tools to identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.

Conduct routine maintenance and preventative checks, including cleaning panels, inspecting wiring, and verifying system performance.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.

Document all installations, maintenance, and repair activities, including detailed records of work performed and materials used.

Educate customers on solar system operation, maintenance, and energy efficiency best practices.

Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Stay updated on industry advancements, emerging technologies, and changes in electrical codes and regulations.

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or associate's degree in a relevant field is preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in solar panel installation, maintenance, and repair.

Prior experience in the residential or commercial solar industry.

Strong understanding of electrical theory, wiring practices, and electrical codes (NEC).

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
