Head of Project Management

We are seeking an experienced Head of Project Management & Design to lead project management, design operations, and activities within an engineering consultancy. The role involves overseeing multidisciplinary projects, ensuring high-quality design delivery, effective project planning, and compliance with project schedules, budgets, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project management, design management, and activities across multiple projects.

• Oversee architectural, structural, civil, infrastructure, and MEP design development.

• Manage projects from concept design through detailed design and tender documentation.

• Establish project management procedures, reporting systems, KPIs, and governance standards.

• Monitor project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure effective design integration.

• Manage client relationships and resolve project-related issues.

• Ensure compliance with design standards, building codes, quality requirements, and contractual obligations.

• Lead and develop Project Managers, Design Managers, and technical teams.

• Oversee project performance and implement improvements to ensure successful delivery.

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 20+ years of relevant professional experience in engineering consultancy, project management, and design management.

• Proven experience in a senior leadership position overseeing design and project management functions.

• Strong experience in operations, project governance, portfolio monitoring, and performance reporting.

• Extensive knowledge of multidisciplinary design coordination and project delivery.

• Excellent leadership, communication, planning, and decision-making skills.
