Job description
- Safely operate heavy vehicles, ensuring adherence to traffic laws and regulations while transporting goods over long distances.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to identify any maintenance issues, ensuring safety and roadworthiness before each journey.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance, facilitating compliance with industry regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, securing it properly to prevent damage during transit, showcasing attention to detail and care for goods.
- High school diploma or equivalent, providing a foundational education for effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements as required, demonstrating the necessary qualifications to operate heavy vehicles.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy truck driving, showcasing a solid track record of reliability and professionalism.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety standards, ensuring compliance and reducing legal risks during operations.
