Read and interpret fabrication drawings, shop drawings, dimensions, material specifications and basic welding symbols.
Independently handle fabrication jobs from drawing review through final completion.
Plan the fabrication sequence and identify the required materials, tools and manpower.
Perform material measuring, marking, cutting, fitting, alignment and assembly.
Fabricate structural steel, storage tanks, skids, platforms, frames, supports and other industrial steel components.
Verify dimensions, angles, diagonals, levels, alignment and fabrication tolerances throughout the work.
Coordinate with welders, machine operators and helpers to complete each job correctly and on time.
Guide and supervise helpers when required.
Identify drawing discrepancies, missing dimensions or fabrication problems before starting the work and report them to the supervisor.
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with approved drawings and required quality standards.
Minimize material waste and avoid rework by maintaining accuracy during fabrication.
Follow all workshop safety procedures and ensure proper use of fabrication tools and equipment.
Maintain responsibility for the assigned job until it is completed and accepted by the supervisor or quality team.
Minimum 7 years of practical experience as a Steel Fabricator or Senior Fabricator in a steel fabrication workshop.
Strong ability to independently read and understand fabrication drawings, shop drawings, dimensions, material specifications and basic welding symbols.
Hands-on experience in structural steel and heavy industrial fabrication.
Experience in fabricating storage tanks, skid packages, platforms, frames, pipe supports and other steel components is preferred.
Skilled in measuring, material marking, cutting, fitting, alignment and assembly.
Able to receive a fabrication drawing, plan the work and complete the job with minimal supervision.
Good knowledge of fabrication tolerances, levels, angles, diagonals and dimensional inspection.
Able to use measuring tools and common fabrication workshop equipment correctly.
Capable of coordinating with welders, machine operators and helpers and supervising a small team when required.
Responsible, accurate, safety-conscious and committed to completing work according to drawings and quality requirements.
ITI, technical diploma or equivalent trade qualification is preferred.
Candidates currently available in Saudi Arabia with a transferable Iqama are preferred.
Applicants must be willing to complete a practical fabrication and drawing-reading trade test before final selection.
