LEGAL/EMPLOYEE ADVISOR

JOB PURPOSE
To conduct investigations and offer legal advise on issues raised by either the department or the employee in accordance with Saudi labour law and KJO ER policy.
To study legal scenarios and propose solution based on national and international precedents.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
Day-to-day Operations
- Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the Employee Support Section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
Research
- Researches Saudi labour law and international best practices in order to offer advise that is legally sound and easily applicable in the situation at hand.
Legal Advise
- Proposes suitable course of action or penalties based on research and investigation in order to close the case.
Mediation
- Participates in the mediation between both parties in an attempt to arrive at a amicable solution.
- Ensures the grievance procedures are adhered to at all times to ensure that all parties have a chance to be heard.
ER Policy
- Proposes modifications to ER policy in an attempt to improve clarity, lessen litigation, or as a result of a change in Saudi labour law to ensure that ER policy is up-to-date.
Reporting
- Prepares section reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standards.
Safety, Health & Environment
- Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Additional Responsibilities
- The post holder may be required to undertake additional duties, which may be reasonably expected and forms part of the function of the post.

Academic & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Law (LLB)
Experience
- Minimum 4 years experience in HR Labour Law
Languages
- Minimum English language required is KJO L4 – Intermediate
