Design Manager

• Responsible for co-ordinating the design of Kingspan’s Kingzip SF roof Systems.
• Responsible for the management of all project design change, including but not limited to: inter-department and client co-ordination, RFI submissions, design change notification’s, client/site instruction confirmation, variation data, and document distribution to and co-ordination with all departments.
• Reading of submitted shop and erection drawings related to client’s “Issued for Construction” architectural and structural steel drawings.
• Review all necessary details including as fixing’s, flashings, gutters, end closures penetrations, and interfaces with adjacent trades.
• Review, analyse, and revise cut lists and fabrication drawings for production on site.
• Navigate Revit models at a reviewer level- sufficient to spot check submissions, follow co-ordination discussions, and verify any issues raised by the BIM team have been correctly resolved.
• Represent the Kingzip scope in BIM co-ordination meetings, take ownership of clash and RFI outcomes that affect the roof system, and feed resolutions back to the BIM team and client.
• Coordination with colleagues in operations, technical and customer service departments to ensure clear visibility for project progress and works scheduling.
• Coordination with the Client’s design team to ensure clarity of design requirements, submission scheduling, and design change notification.
• Coordination for document control procedures, including design documents, drawings, and sales support from the design team.
• Maintenance of files and control logs as required by the project.
• Assist in the evaluation and resolution of site/field problems related to design.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management, or related field

Minimum 10-15 years of experience in construction, with strong expertise in standing seam roofing systems

Valid and transferable Iqama is required.

Proven track record managing large-scale roofing projects (commercial, industrial, or infrastructure)

In-depth knowledge of roofing systems

Fluency in Arabic and in English (spoken and written) is mandatory

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
