The Role :
To ensure the effective implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements across the Height Safety Services Workshop and onsite field operations. The role is responsible for managing workshop safety performance, supporting inspection and recertification activities, and ensuring safe execution of all service operations including servicing, training, and field inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Workshop Safety Management
- Ensure full compliance of the Height Safety Services Workshop with company HSE policies and applicable safety regulations.
- Conduct regular workshop safety inspections covering housekeeping, equipment safety, storage practices, and working conditions.
- Monitor safe use of tools, machinery, lifting equipment, testing devices, and electrical systems within the workshop.
- Ensure safe layout, access control, emergency exits, and safe movement of personnel and equipment.
- Maintain workshop emergency preparedness including fire safety systems, first aid readiness, and evacuation procedures.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with MSDS requirements.
2. Field & Onsite Safety Management
- Monitor and ensure compliance with HSE requirements during onsite inspection, recertification, and servicing activities.
- Review and verify Job Safety Analysis (JSA), risk assessments, and method statements prior to field work.
- Ensure adherence to customer Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and site-specific safety rules.
- Conduct field safety inspections and provide real-time safety guidance during operations.
3. Inspection & Operational Support
- Support Height Safety inspection and recertification activities by ensuring safe execution of tasks.
- Monitor equipment handling, tagging, segregation, and movement between field and workshop.
4. Incident Prevention & Reporting
- Report, investigate, and document incidents, unsafe conditions, and near misses.
5. Training & Awareness
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for workshop and field teams.
- Promote awareness of working at height safety, rescue readiness, and equipment safety.
- Identify training needs and support competency development programs.
6. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, audit findings, and safety documentation.
- Ensure timely submission of safety reports, observations, and compliance records.
- Support internal and external HSE audits.
