Job description
Overall Job Objective:
Support the finance department through daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate recording of financial and tax transactions in a timely manner, and assisting in the organization of the company's ongoing financial processes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations and Entries:
- Prepare and record daily accounting entries on the company's accounting system.
- Review invoices and supporting documents for disbursement and ensure the completeness of necessary approvals and signatures.
- Management of Receivables and Payables (Disbursement):
- Execute and document daily disbursement transactions (cash or bank) and verify attachments.
- Disburse and document cash advances for employees and follow up on their periodic settlement based on actual invoices.
- Handling Value Added Tax (VAT):
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing invoices comply with the requirements of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (including tax number, serial number, and correct percentage).
- Accumulate and record input and output tax and assist in preparing data for VAT declaration.
- Reconciliations and Archiving:
- Assist in reconciling bank accounts, suppliers, and customers on a periodic basis.
- Archive and maintain financial documents and tax files (both paper and electronic) in an organized manner for reference when needed.
