Category Merchant Manager, Hardlines Category, 3rd Party Marketplace

The Category Merchant Manager will be responsible for the growth and profitability of their assigned product categories within the 3rd party marketplace. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, analytical skills, and strong execution capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement category strategies to drive sales and market share.

• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate terms to optimize product selection and pricing.

• Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to identify opportunities and risks.

• Create and execute promotional plans and marketing campaigns to increase visibility and drive demand.

• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, marketing, finance) to ensure seamless execution of category initiatives.

• Monitor performance metrics and provide regular reports on category performance, insights, and recommendations.

• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in e-commerce and marketplace operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

• Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders

• Master of Business Administration, or Associate's degree or above

• Experience with strong project management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Experience working with data analytics and using these metrics to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
