High & Medium Voltage Technician

Execute preventative maintenance on high and medium voltage switchgear, transformers, and substations to ensure system reliability and minimize downtime.

Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting of electrical faults in power distribution systems, identifying root causes for efficient repair.

Safely operate and de-energize high voltage equipment according to strict safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures.

Install, inspect, and maintain protective relays, circuit breakers, and other control systems to safeguard electrical infrastructure.

Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electrical technology is highly advantageous.

Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in electrical power systems or a related field.

Relevant certifications such as Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, or specialized high voltage training.

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with high and medium voltage electrical systems in industrial or utility environments.
