Job Resposiblites
- Stay up to date with all customs laws and regulations through research and legal advice
- Request required documents/ data from relevant stakeholders within specified period to prepare and study case files
- Prepare case files and ensure data entered are complete and error free to guarantee in-depth revision of file
- Correct errors of data entered into the case files based on information available
- Study accurately and objectively case files arising out of fines imposed by ZATCA on plaintiff highlighting reasons behind imposition of fines and provide Committees with legal studies in a timely manner
- Study accurately and objectively case files arising out of customs assessment imposed by ZATCA on plaintiff highlighting reasons behind due tax ratio from a legal standpoint and provide Committees with studies in a timely manner
- Prepare accurate legal studies for consultation requests made by members of 1st Instance Committees during deliberation
- Develop customs legal opinion on various subjects and issues related to applicable laws and regulations
- Perform generic and specialized legal studies related to 1st Instance as requested and submit reports accordingly

- Develop accurate and timely periodical and customized reports for Section and submit to management
- Document and update the section s information and data periodically in its relevant databaseReport issues to management and develop action plans providing recommendations for effective resolution/ improvement-
- Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner
- Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
Bachelor s degree in Law, or equivalent is required
