We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our engineering team in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire protection system design for commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments. The candidate must have extensive experience using AutoCAD and Elite Software and possess at least 5 years of professional experience in Saudi Arabia, preferably with a reputable engineering consulting firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design fire protection and firefighting systems in accordance with Saudi Building Code (SBC), NFPA, and project specifications.
- Prepare fire protection layouts, hydraulic calculations, and detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Perform system calculations and analyses using Elite Software.
- Design sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, fire pumps, fire hose cabinets, clean agent systems, and fire alarm systems.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural disciplines.
- Review project specifications, tender documents, and shop drawings.
- Attend design coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with Civil Defense requirements and applicable international standards.
- Support project execution through technical reviews and site coordination when required.
- Prepare technical reports, design calculations, BOQs, and material specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of fire protection engineering experience in Saudi Arabia.
- Previous experience working with an engineering consulting firm is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA, Saudi Building Code (SBC), and Civil Defense regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Elite Software.
- Experience with hydraulic calculations and fire protection system design.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and technical reporting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional engineering registration or relevant certifications.
- Experience with BIM/Revit is an advantage.
- Familiarity with international design standards and multidisciplinary coordination.
