Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Low Current Procurement Engineer to manage the procurement of low current systems and related materials for construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and procuring low current equipment while ensuring compliance with project specifications, budgets, and delivery schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities for low current systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Public Address, Structured Cabling, IPTV, BMS, and Security Systems.
- Review project specifications, drawings, BOQs, and technical submittals to identify procurement requirements.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors for low current packages.
- Obtain and analyze quotations, conduct commercial and technical comparisons, and recommend suitable vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, warranties, and contractual conditions to achieve the best value.
- Coordinate with technical, design, and project teams to ensure procurement activities align with project schedules.
- Issue purchase orders and monitor material deliveries to ensure timely project execution.
- Maintain supplier performance records and develop strategic vendor relationships.
- Monitor market trends, product developments, and pricing within the low current industry.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and project requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of procurement experience in low current systems within construction, MEP, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of low current systems, products, and leading manufacturers.
- Experience in supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations, and procurement planning.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
