Power Bi Developer

Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards for business users.
Gather and analyze reporting requirements from stakeholders and translate them into effective BI solutions.
Create and optimize data models using star schema and best practices for performance and scalability.
Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and business metrics.
Use Power Query (M Language) to perform data transformation, cleansing, and integration activities.
Connect and integrate data from multiple sources including SQL Server, Oracle, APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.
Build and maintain datasets, dataflows, and semantic models in Power BI Service.
Configure and manage Power BI workspaces, gateways, scheduled refreshes, and deployment processes.
Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and ensure compliance with data security and governance standards.
Monitor report and dataset performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization techniques.
Collaborate with business teams, data engineers, and project stakeholders to deliver reporting solutions aligned with business objectives.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to reports, dashboards, datasets, and refresh failures.
Support UAT, deployment, and post-production activities for BI solutions.
Maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and reporting standards.
Participate in code reviews and follow BI development best practices.
Provide end-user support, training, and knowledge transfer when required.
Work closely with data warehouse and ETL teams to ensure data quality and consistency across reporting platforms.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to analytics, reporting, and business intelligence processes.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Transform complex business data into actionable insights through effective visualizations.
• Strong experience in data modeling, Power Query (M Language), and DAX development.
• Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL Server, Oracle, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Develop optimized datasets, calculated measures, KPIs, and advanced analytical reports.
• Implement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS) and report access controls.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and audit requirements.
• Monitor and optimize report performance, dataset refreshes, and query execution.
• Configure and maintain Power BI Service workspaces, datasets, and data gateways.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide support for business-critical reports.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with ETL concepts and data warehousing methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have:

• Microsoft Power BI Certification (PL-300 or equivalent).
• Experience with Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, or Databricks.
• Knowledge of Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or large enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
