Job Summary:
The Biomedical Engineer (Maintenance) is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation within healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of biomedical equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faults in medical devices and systems.
- Install, calibrate, and test new medical equipment.
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure all equipment complies with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for spare parts and technical support.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues.
- Provide technical support and training to healthcare staff on equipment usage.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies and international standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in medical equipment maintenance (hospital experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of biomedical systems, electronics, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, or local healthcare regulations).
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
