This is a hands-on leadership role focused on optimizing clinical workflows, enhancing EMR adoption, and bridging the gap between clinicians and technology across hospital and outpatient environments.
The role includes:
- Leading clinical informatics operations and EMR optimization (InterSystems TrakCare preferred)
- Partnering closely with physicians, nursing, pharmacy, radiology, and allied health teams
- Driving clinical workflow improvement, analytics, training, and change management
- Managing and developing a growing informatics team across multiple facilities
- Supporting digital transformation initiatives that directly improve patient care and operational efficiency
- Supports system enhancements, upgrades, adhocs and patch fixes in coordination with Intersystems.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, Nursing, Medicine, IT, or related field (required)
Master's degree (preferred)
CPHIMS, PMP, or EMR vendor certifications (preferred)
Clinical licensure (RN, MD, allied health) is a distinct advantage
Experience
- 7+ years in healthcare IT / clinical informatics; 2+ years in a supervisory or management role
- Hands-on experience with Hakeem (InterSystems TrakCare), Epic, Cerner, or equivalent EMR/EHR
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows — medical, nursing, pharmacy, radiology, lab, allied health
- Experience in clinical content development, EMR implementations, and multi-facility operations
- Familiarity with CBAHI, MOH, CHI/NPHIES regulations (preferred)
