Job description
Diagnose and repair complex electromechanical issues in large-scale generator systems, including prime and standby units, ensuring minimal downtime.
Perform advanced preventative maintenance on generator engines, alternators, control systems, and associated electrical components to optimize performance and longevity.
Troubleshoot and resolve intricate electrical control system faults, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and schematics for intricate generator control panels.
Conduct thorough inspections and load bank testing of generators, interpreting results to identify potential failures and recommend corrective actions.
Possess a strong educational foundation, typically an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Hold relevant certifications such as Certified Generator Technician (CGT) or equivalent, demonstrating specialized expertise.
Have a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience specifically with the maintenance and repair of industrial generators.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of diesel and natural gas engines, AC/DC electrical systems, and complex control circuitry.
