Quality Control (Quantity Surveyor)

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and verify soil quality, grading, and drainage to ensure proper site conditions prior to landscaping works.
• Review and approve plant materials (species, size, and health) in compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure proper planting methods, spacing, alignment, and high-quality turf installation.
• Supervise and inspect irrigation system installation, including pipes, valves, sprinklers, and drip systems.
• Conduct pressure testing and leakage checks for irrigation pipelines to ensure system integrity.
• Verify irrigation coverage, water distribution, and overall system performance.
• Prepare and submit material technical submittals for approval, including plants, soil, and irrigation materials.
• Develop and submit method statements for landscaping and irrigation activities.
• Prepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) in accordance with project specifications.
• Raise and manage Material Inspection Requests (MIR) for incoming materials.
• Raise and follow up on Work Inspection Requests (WIR) for completed site activities.
• Maintain inspection reports, test records, and all quality-related documentation.
• Prepare Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals for irrigation systems and landscaping works.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, with demonstrable experience in quality control.
• Experience within the landscaping, horticulture, or general contracting sectors is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, landscaping techniques, and quality assurance principles.
• Proficient in cost estimation, budget management, and contract administration.
• Meticulous attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
