Vibration Engineer – Motors Alfanar Engineering Services Job Location: Saudi Arabia
JOB PURPOSE To execute vibration testing, condition monitoring, and diagnostic analysis of rotating electrical machines (motors and generators) at workshop and site locations, ensuring equipment operates within acceptable vibration limits, improving reliability, and minimizing unplanned failures through industry-standard vibration analysis practices.
Function: Supervision & Technical Support for Workshop & On-site Services KEY
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Perform vibration data acquisition, monitoring, and analysis for electrical rotating equipment (LV & HV motors and generators).
Conduct vibration spectrum analysis, time waveform analysis, phase analysis, and PeakVue/advanced diagnostics.
Perform fault diagnosis and root cause failure analysis (RCA) for rotating machinery.
Interpret vibration trends and provide corrective maintenance recommendations.
Assess shaft vibration behavior and bearing condition using advanced diagnostic techniques. Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
Recommend repair scopes including balancing, alignment, bearing replacement, or overhaul requirements.
Perform online balancing and laser alignment of rotating equipment.
Support condition monitoring activities using infrared thermography, ultrasound, lubrication analysis, and mechanical inspections.
Ensure proper planning and execution of site activities including scheduling, travel, and resource coordination.
Maintain compliance with safety procedures and site regulations during all field activities.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians when required.
TOOLS & SYSTEMS KNOWLEDGE
CSI 2130 / CSI 2140 vibration analyzers
Bently Nevada ADRE / System 1 (if applicable)
Condition monitoring software and data analysis tools
Laser alignment systems (e.g., SKF / Fixturlaser or equivalent)
Balancing equipment and field diagnostic tools
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Minimum Qualification:
Minimum Experience: 5–10 years of experience in vibration analysis and condition monitoring of rotating equipment (motors, generators, pumps, compressors, gearboxes)

Education: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience: 5–10 years in vibration analysis & condition monitoring of rotating equipment (motors, generators, pumps, compressors)
Certifications: ISO 18436 Level 2/3 Vibration Analyst preferred
Technical Skills:
Tools: Experience with CSI analyzers, Bently Nevada systems, laser alignment, and balancing tools
