Job description

The Retail Auditor is responsible for conducting structured field audits across retail stores to ensure compliance with company standards, accurate product availability, and proper execution of merchandising guidelines. The role requires regular field visits, accurate reporting, and close monitoring of retail performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily field visits to assigned retail stores based on a fixed route plan.
  • Audit product availability, stock levels, and shelf execution across categories.
  • Verify correct product placement according to planograms and brand guidelines.
  • Check pricing accuracy and ensure promotions are correctly implemented in-store.
  • Identify out-of-stock items, stock discrepancies, and execution failures.
  • Collect accurate field data using digital tools or reporting systems provided by the company.
  • Capture photographic evidence of shelf conditions, displays, and compliance issues.
  • Ensure all collected data is complete, accurate, and submitted within deadlines.
  • Report inconsistencies, stock issues, or operational gaps to the management team.
  • Coordinate with internal sales and merchandising teams regarding store-level issues.
  • Follow strict audit procedures and maintain consistency across all store visits.
  • Maintain daily and weekly visit schedules and ensure full route completion.
  • Support continuous improvement by highlighting recurring retail execution issues.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail auditing, field auditing, or FMCG operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent understanding of retail store operations and merchandising standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret field data.
  • Experience in conducting structured field visits and audits.
  • Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
  • Strong time management and route planning skills.
  • Good communication skills for reporting and coordination.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet daily reporting deadlines.
