Job Summary
The Procurement Quality Control Supervisor (PQCS) is responsible for ensuring that all procured materials and equipment comply with project specifications, international standards, and Saudi Aramco requirements. The role involves vendor inspection, documentation review, and coordination with suppliers to maintain quality compliance throughout the procurement cycle.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Review and verify purchase orders, material submittals, and vendor documents.
- Ensure all materials comply with Saudi Aramco standards (SAES, SAMSS, SATIP) and project specifications.
- Conduct vendor inspections (shop inspections, FAT, etc.) as per Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for quality-related issues and approvals.
- Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with approved procedures.
- Review Mill Test Certificates (MTC), material test reports, and QA/QC documents.
- Witness testing activities such as hydro tests, NDT, coating inspections, etc.
- Prepare and submit inspection reports and maintain proper documentation.
- Liaise with client representatives and third-party inspectors.
- Ensure non-conformance reports (NCRs) are properly raised and closed.
- Support project QA/QC team in procurement-related quality matters.
- Maintain records for audits and assist during client inspections
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil or related).
- Valid Saudi Aramco Approval as PQCS (Mandatory).
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in QA/QC (Procurement/Material Inspection) in Oil & Gas projects.
- Strong knowledge of:
o Saudi Aramco standards (SAES, SAMSS, SATIP)
o International codes (ASTM, ASME, API, ISO)
- Certification in QA/QC (e.g., CSWIP, NDT Level II, ISO 9001) is preferred.
- Experience in vendor inspection, material receiving inspection, and documentation.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Familiarity with SAP/ERP systems is an advantage.
