Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Commercial & Contracts Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to manage all contract activity for a project of significant size, and represent the Company in negotiations of the most-complex contractual issues.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for all commercial & contract management activities across the project.
- Develop and implement commercial & contract management strategies to achieve project objectives, output deliverables in a timely manner, and maximize value.
- Review Contractor's and Client's Change requests, develop and manage all of the relevant change management documentation up to finalizing EI s and VO s.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, including managing claims, variations, and disputes.
- Provide expert advice on contract interpretation and risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead the development and management of project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Monitor project costs and implement robust cost control measures to prevent overruns.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and cost analysis for senior management and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with procurement team and ensure the activities align with project requirements and organizational policies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential financial and contractual challenges.
- Lead and mentor the commercial team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and consultants, to ensure alignment on commercial matters.
- Represent the project in commercial discussions and negotiations with stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
- Prepare and present comprehensive commercial reports to stakeholders and senior management.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor s degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial management across multiple construction sectors.
- Extensive knowledge of cost & commercial management principles, procurement processes, and contract management principles.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale projects and delivering within budget and schedule.
- Familiarity with local regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and financial tools.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and resolve disputes effectively.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Professional certification (MRICS) is preferred.
- Experience in PMCM projects is highly desirable.
