Boiler / Plant Room Supervisor

Job Scope:

• A Boiler/Plant Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and safety of boiler systems and plant rooms within a facility. This role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing the performance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Boiler and Plant Room Operations:

• Supervise the operation and maintenance of boiler systems, plant rooms, and related equipment to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Monitor system parameters, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective measures to prevent downtime and maintain the reliability of heating and ventilation systems.

Team Management:

• Lead a team of technicians, engineers, or maintenance staff responsible for boiler operations, plant room maintenance, and HVAC system repairs.

• Assign tasks, provide training, and support professional development to ensure that team members perform effectively and efficiently in their roles.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices in the operation and maintenance of boiler systems and plant rooms.

• Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards, implement safety measures, and maintain a safe working environment for staff and occupants.

Maintenance Planning and Execution:

• Develop maintenance schedules, preventive maintenance programs, and repair plans for boilers, heating systems, and plant room equipment to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.

• Coordinate maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs with internal teams, external contractors, and vendors to ensure timely completion and quality workmanship.

Energy Efficiency and Sustainability:

• Implement energy-saving initiatives, efficiency improvements, and sustainability practices in boiler operations, heating systems, and plant room management to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact.

• Identify opportunities for system upgrades, retrofits, or renewable energy solutions to enhance efficiency, lower operating costs, and support sustainability goals.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records, logbooks, and documentation of boiler operations, maintenance activities, equipment performance, and regulatory compliance.

• Generate reports on system performance, maintenance trends, energy consumption, and recommendations for operational improvements to support decision-making and planning.
