Business Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Configuration Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring new services, troubleshooting network and system issues, supporting integration and migration activities, and ensuring the smooth operation of business services within a telecom environment.
The role requires strong expertise in Linux administration, SQL, Oracle databases, Ericsson Catalogue, system integration, and telecom operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment, including shift and on-call support.
Key Responsibilities
Service Configuration & Operations
- Configure and maintain business services within the network environment.
- Execute product configuration activities using Ericsson Catalogue.
- Perform integration and migration tasks for new services and platforms.
- Support 2nd Level Operations and Restoration activities.
- Handle Trouble Reports (TRs) and Change Requests (CRs) according to agreed SLAs.
- Investigate service disturbances and network issues and coordinate with support teams for resolution.
- Conduct post-implementation verification and testing activities.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Prepare and execute system, module, integration, and acceptance testing.
- Ensure all system and functional test cases are completed in line with approved designs.
- Verify successful implementation of network and service changes.
System Administration & Troubleshooting
- Administer Linux-based systems and environments.
- Troubleshoot application, database, and network-related issues.
- Analyze system performance, traffic patterns, and operational reports.
- Monitor service quality and proactively identify potential degradations.
Documentation & Process Improvement
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, procedures, and operational records.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of operational processes and best practices.
- Participate in technical meetings and support departmental initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards and change management procedures.
Support & Availability
- Participate in 24/7 operational support activities.
- Support night shifts and critical activities during special events and maintenance windows.
- Respond to escalated incidents and service-impacting issues.
