Professional Leather Craftsman – Luxury Gift Box Maker

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Leather Craftsman / Luxury Gift Box Maker to work full-time in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The candidate must have strong hands-on experience in manufacturing premium leather-covered products and luxury gift packaging.

Main Responsibilities:

Manufacture luxury leather gift boxes and presentation boxes.

Produce leather chocolate and sweets boxes.

Produce premium office desk sets, document holders, organizers, trays and accessories.

Cover MDF, wood and rigid boxes professionally with leather or synthetic leather.

Cut, skive, stitch, glue, wrap and finish leather with high precision.

Install magnets, locks, hinges, handles, metal accessories and decorative parts.

Produce custom-made leather products based on drawings, photos, samples or new ideas.

Create prototypes and samples for new product designs.

Work accurately with measurements, templates and production specifications.

Maintain excellent finishing quality in corners, edges, stitching and leather wrapping.

Be able to convert any new product idea or reference image into a high-quality finished product.

Required Experience:

Minimum 5 years of practical experience in leather goods, luxury gift boxes or premium packaging.

Strong experience in leather cutting, stitching, wrapping, skiving and edge finishing.

Experience with MDF or wooden box construction and leather covering is highly preferred.

Ability to work independently from a sample, drawing, photo or design concept.

Excellent attention to detail and luxury finishing standards.

Creativity and strong problem-solving ability in developing new leather products.

Salary: 3000–4000 per month, depending on experience

• Possession of a formal qualification or extensive apprenticeship in leathercraft or a related artisanal field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of demonstrable experience specifically in crafting luxury leather goods, with a portfolio showcasing gift boxes.
• Proven expertise in hand-stitching techniques such as saddle stitch, and proficiency in edge finishing and burnishing.
• Advanced understanding of different leather types (e.g., calfskin, lambskin, exotic skins) and their optimal applications.
