General Job Description
Assessment and development of the speech and language skills of the students at the Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Schools for Down Syndrome.
Responsibilities
Implement the plans approved by the school administration to develop the communication and pronunciation skills of the students
Assess the communication skills of students periodically
Identify and develop the initial objectives for each student
Develop an individualized education plan for each student at the beginning of the semester to determine his or her specific goals and objectives
Assess each student and write down his or her performance level vs the goals in the individualized education plan
Explain the communication goal and training methods to the parents of the student at the beginning of each academic year and as needed
Prepare the appropriate materials needed to train students
Submit monthly reports to the educational supervisor detailing the students' progress in the area of speech and language along with recommendations
Perform any other related tasks assigned by the educational supervisor
Requirements
Bachelors in Speech Language Pathology with 3 to 5 years of experience
Specialized training in this field
Proficient in English and Arabic - both verbally and in writing
Ability to deal well and interact positively with the students
Computer proficiency
