We are looking for an experienced Welfare Manager to oversee and manage worker welfare services and facilities across construction project sites and accommodation camps.
The Welfare Manager will be responsible for ensuring that workers have a safe, healthy, clean, and comfortable working and living environment. This includes the management of accommodation, catering, transportation, recreational facilities, worker services, welfare facilities, and employee feedback.
The ideal candidate should have experience working on large-scale construction projects, infrastructure projects, or workers' accommodation/camp management, preferably in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all worker welfare facilities and services across the construction site and workers' accommodation camps.
- Ensure workers have access to clean, safe, hygienic, and properly maintained accommodation facilities.
- Manage worker accommodation, catering, transportation, laundry, recreational facilities, and other welfare services.
- Coordinate with Site Management, HSE, HR, Camp Management, Security, Procurement, and subcontractors to ensure effective welfare services.
- Regularly inspect workers' accommodation, dining halls, kitchens, toilets, washing facilities, rest areas, recreation areas, and other welfare facilities.
- Ensure that accommodation and welfare facilities comply with Saudi regulations, project requirements, client standards, and company policies.
- Monitor catering services and food quality, hygiene, meal arrangements, and workers' satisfaction.
- Coordinate transportation services for workers, including buses, routes, schedules, and transportation requirements.
- Establish and maintain effective worker grievance and feedback mechanisms.
- Receive, investigate, and coordinate the resolution of workers' welfare-related complaints and concerns.
- Organize worker engagement activities, recreational programs, and other initiatives to improve worker morale and wellbeing.
- Monitor the performance of welfare service providers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with Procurement and relevant departments regarding welfare-related materials, equipment, and services.
- Maintain accurate records, inspection reports, welfare statistics, complaints, and corrective action plans.
- Prepare regular welfare reports and present key issues, trends, and improvement recommendations to project management.
- Identify potential welfare risks and take proactive measures to prevent worker dissatisfaction and welfare-related incidents.
- Ensure adequate welfare arrangements are available during peak manpower periods and project mobilization.
- Support project management in maintaining positive worker relations and a stable site workforce.
- Ensure all welfare facilities are properly maintained and corrective actions are completed within the required timeframe.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager or Project Director.
