Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the Central Development Management Office, defining its vision, structure, and operating model.
- Align development management strategies with corporate goals and long-term business plans.
- Drive standardization of processes, tools, and methodologies across all development projects.
- Act as a key advisor to executive leadership on development performance and risks.
Governance & Oversight
- Implement governance frameworks to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Oversee project controls including scheduling, cost management, risk management, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Lead stage-gate review processes and investment committee inputs.
Portfolio & Program Management
- Monitor and manage a portfolio of development projects across multiple asset classes.
- Prioritize initiatives based on strategic importance, resource allocation, and ROI.
- Identify and mitigate risks at portfolio and program levels.
- Ensure effective coordination between projects to maximize efficiencies.
Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and implement standardized development management frameworks, templates, and KPIs.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives (PMIS, dashboards, reporting tools).
- Benchmark performance against industry standards and introduce best practices.
- Lead lessons-learned programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with internal departments including design, finance, procurement, legal, and operations.
- Interface with external stakeholders such as consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
- Ensure transparent communication and reporting to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.
Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team within the CDMO.
- Define roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics for team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
- Drive talent development, succession planning, and capability building.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field (Master s preferred).
- 20+ years of experience in real estate development, construction, or project management.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale, complex development portfolios.
- Experience in establishing or managing PMOs/CDMOs or similar centralized functions.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 preferred).
