Oral Maxillofacial

Obtain and interpret medical, dental and psychosocial history. Including the evaluation of physical and social conditions that may affect dental management. Conduct examination and order appropriate radiographs as needed. Prescribe medication as needed. Responsible for evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of disorder and condition within the scope of the specialty. Those might include and not limited to; Emergency treatment as needed and first responder for on-call cases in Emergency Department (ER). Performs Complex Extractions and Cyst removal under local or general anesthesia and sedation for medically compromised patients or those with dental phobia. Treatment of TMD and orofacial pain. Treatment of infection of the oral cavity, and head and neck area 4.4.5 Surgical placement of dental implant and associated augmentation. Emergency treatment as needed. Complies with the standards laid down by the Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA)/ Central Board for accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) and performs duties necessary to support and achieve accreditation. Responsible to adhere the safety and security measures. Responsible to apply the Infection Control measures. Participate in the Hospital educational activity program. Participate in, and lead person-centered care initiatives undertaken by AJAJI. Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity. Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his knowledge, skills and abilities. Academic responsibility: Direct and advise Junior Staff on patient management, especially in the field of OMFS. Guide and actively participates in training and teaching of the Intern, Junior Staff, Specialist and Residents. Actively participate in educational activities and training programs of the Department.

Master s Degree or recognized qualification in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (from an accredited Dental School) with completion of the appropriate Internship and Residency requirements At least two (2) years of practical experience. Valid Saudi commission for health specialties registration. Valid Basic Life Support certificate.(BLS ACLS-PALS).
