Material Engineer

We are hiring a Material Engineer specialized in Landscaping for large-scale projects in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in material selection, approval, inspection, testing, and quality compliance for landscaping works, including hardscape, softscape, irrigation, soil, aggregates, paving, natural stone, and related finishing materials.

The candidate must be currently based in KSA and available to join immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and approve landscaping materials in line with project specifications, drawings, standards, and client requirements.

• Prepare and submit material submittals, technical data sheets, method statements, compliance statements, and material approval requests.

• Coordinate with consultants, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal project teams for material approvals and inspections.

• Ensure all landscaping materials comply with approved project specifications, Saudi/GCC standards, and quality requirements.

• Conduct material inspections, sampling, testing, and verification at site, supplier facilities, and laboratories when required.

• Monitor delivered materials to ensure they match approved samples, specifications, and project requirements.

• Support project delivery by ensuring timely material approvals, availability, and compliance to avoid project delays.

• Maintain accurate records of material approvals, inspection reports, test results, NCRs, MIRs, and related QA/QC documentation.

• Coordinate closely with QA/QC, procurement, construction, and project management teams to resolve material-related issues.

• Ensure proper handling, storage, and protection of landscaping materials on site.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related engineering discipline.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Material Engineer, preferably specialized in landscaping works.

• Proven experience in large-scale projects in KSA or GCC.

• Strong knowledge of landscaping materials, including soil, plants, irrigation materials, paving, tiles, stones, aggregates, geotextiles, fertilizers, and hardscape/softscape materials.

• Proven record of successful project delivery.

• Familiarity with material approval procedures, QA/QC documentation, testing standards, and site inspection processes.

• Must be currently based in Saudi Arabia.

• Must be available for immediate joining or on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with major contractors, consultants, or landscaping subcontractors in KSA/GCC.
• Experience in infrastructure, hospitality, residential, mixed-use, or public realm landscaping projects.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Saudi project requirements, consultant approval processes, and local supplier networks.
