Port & Transport Operations Coordinator

We are a Chinese logistics and transportation company based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. We are looking for a Port & Transport Operations Coordinator to manage daily transport operations, truck dispatching, driver coordination, port-related transport jobs, and shipment follow-up.

Key responsibilities:

• Receive and understand customer transport requirements, including cargo details, pickup/delivery locations, timing, and special instructions.

• Arrange suitable trucks and drivers for each shipment according to cargo type, route, customer requirements, and operational feasibility.

• Coordinate with drivers, subcontracted truck owners, customers, port-related parties, and internal team members to ensure smooth shipment execution.

• Follow up every shipment from pickup to delivery and provide timely updates to customers and management.

• Handle operational issues such as truck delays, driver problems, port waiting, loading/unloading issues, document problems, route changes, and customer complaints.

• Support port transportation operations, including coordination related to Jeddah Port, truck entry, shipment pickup, customs clearance coordination, and cargo release follow-up.

• Maintain clear records for each job, including truck details, driver details, shipment status, costs, waiting time, delivery confirmation, and any extra charges.

• Assist in building and maintaining a reliable truck and driver network for different types of transportation jobs.

• Communicate clearly with Arabic-speaking drivers, local parties, customers, and the internal Chinese management team.

• Work under pressure and respond quickly to urgent transport requirements and unexpected operational problems.

• Due to the nature of logistics operations, the candidate must be flexible with working hours, including weekends or public holidays when business requires.

• 3 to 8 years of experience in logistics, transportation, truck dispatching, fleet coordination, port transport operations, or customs clearance coordination.

• Experience in Saudi Arabia logistics or road transportation is required. Experience related to Jeddah Port is highly preferred.

• Must be able to coordinate trucks, drivers, customers, and operational parties independently.

• Good knowledge of road transportation operations, driver management, shipment tracking, and daily logistics execution.

• Familiarity with port operations, customs clearance coordination, cargo release process, or container/heavy cargo transportation is a strong advantage.

• Fluent Arabic and fluent English are required, both spoken and written.

• Chinese language is not required, but candidates who can speak Chinese or have experience working with Chinese companies will be given priority.

• Must be responsible, responsive, organized, and able to handle pressure and urgent operational issues.

• Must be able to keep accurate job records and report shipment progress clearly.

• Candidate should be currently based in Saudi Arabia, preferably in Jeddah or Makkah Province.

• Experience working with trucking companies, freight forwarders, customs clearance agents, port transport companies, or heavy equipment transport companies is preferred.

• Monthly salary: SAR 5,500 to 9,000, depending on experience and ability.
