Project Engineer – Steel Structure | Saudi Arabia
LITCO Group is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate steel structure fabrication, erection, and installation activities.
Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, schedules, and technical documents.
Plan, monitor, and control project activities to ensure timely project completion.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare, submit, and follow up on Material Inspection Requests (MIR) and Work Inspection Requests (WIR/WMR).
Attend inspections and ensure timely approvals from consultants and client representatives.
Respond to inspection comments and coordinate corrective actions when required.
Monitor subcontractor performance, progress, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
Track project milestones, material deliveries, manpower, and site resources.
Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Identify project risks, delays, and technical issues and implement corrective measures.
Prepare project progress reports, technical submittals, and project documentation.
Participate in project meetings and provide technical support to site teams.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
Minimum 5 years of overall experience as a Project Engineer in steel structure, steel fabrication, or structural steel construction projects.
Must have a minimum of 4 years of relevant Project Engineering experience in Saudi Arabia.
Proven experience in steel structure fabrication, erection, and installation projects.
Must have hands-on experience in preparing, submitting, and managing MIR (Material Inspection Requests) and WIR/WMR (Work Inspection Requests).
Strong experience working with and managing subcontractors.
Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, and inspectors on project approvals and inspections.
Familiarity with Saudi construction standards, QA/QC procedures, and inspection processes.
Required Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong ability to communicate professionally and effectively with inspectors, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
Ability to independently handle site inspections and secure timely approvals.
Strong project coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
Strong organizational and reporting skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in steel structure projects and/or commercial.
PMP Certification is an added advantage.
Project Engineer with minimum 4 years of Saudi experience.
Must have steel structure industry experience.
Must have experience with Material Inspection Request (MIR), Work Inspection Request (WIR).
Experience coordinating with subcontractors.
