Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance for plumbing systems and kitchen equipment in catering facilities. The role also requires basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs for plumbing systems (pipes, valves, drainage, water supply).
- Maintain and repair kitchen equipment such as ovens, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, and cooking units.
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot issues in mechanical and electrical components.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
- Handle installation of new kitchen equipment and plumbing systems when required.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and hygiene regulations in kitchen environments.
- Coordinate with supervisors for maintenance schedules and spare parts requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and breakdowns.
