Elevator & Electrical Stairs Technician

Install, maintain, and repair elevator and escalator systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation according to manufacturer specifications and safety codes.

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues in vertical transportation systems, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and schematics.

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on elevator and escalator components, including motors, brakes, control panels, and safety devices.

Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to guide installation, repair, and troubleshooting activities.

Installs, inspects, and maintains elevators and escalators for safe operation.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical systems is highly advantageous.

Hold relevant certifications such as an Elevator Mechanic license or equivalent, demonstrating proficiency in the field.

Have a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience specifically with elevator and escalator installation, maintenance, and repair.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic principles as applied to vertical transportation systems.
