Qa/qc Welding Inspector

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a diploma in mechanical/metallurgical engineering, with at least 8-

12 years of experience, including 5-8 years in Aramco projects (SAES/SAMSS standards). Essential

certifications include AWS-CWI or CSWIP 3.1.

Plus a valid Saudi Aramco CBT approval (SAP number).

Key Requirements for QC Welding Inspectors:

 Approval & Certification: Must be Saudi Aramco-approved with a valid CBT pass. Mandatory

certifications include AWS-CWI (American Welding Society) or CSWIP 3.1 (Certification

Scheme for Welding and Inspection Personnel).

 Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in oil & gas construction, specifically in welding

inspection.

 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Metallurgical) or a 3-year Diploma in

Mechanical Engineering.

 Technical Skills: Expertise in welding codes (ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, API 1104), NDT

methods (RT, UT, MT, PT), and Post-Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT).
