We are looking for an experienced Transportation Procurement Specialist with a strong background in the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing reliable transportation providers, negotiating competitive trucking rates, managing subcontracted transporters, and maintaining an organized transportation supplier network across Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, source, and develop relationships with reliable trucking and transportation companies across Saudi Arabia.
- Negotiate competitive transportation rates and commercial agreements with transport providers.
- Build and maintain an updated database of approved transporters, subcontractors, and their rates.
- Develop and maintain transportation rate sheets for different routes, truck types, and service requirements.
- Source transportation solutions for container movements, port deliveries, local distribution, and long-haul trucking.
- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple transportation providers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Evaluate transporters based on pricing, reliability, service quality, and operational capabilities.
- Coordinate with the Operations and Pricing departments to provide timely and accurate trucking quotations.
- Monitor transportation market rates and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing transportation contractors.
- Ensure transportation suppliers meet company requirements and applicable regulations.
