Job Title: Foreman – Machine Shop (Motor Division)
Job Location : Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose To supervise and lead machine shop operations, ensuring efficient production, quality output, and adherence to safety standards. The role is responsible for coordinating team activities, optimizing machine utilization, and meeting production targets.

• Production targets achieved (%)
• Machine uptime and efficiency
• Quality compliance and rejection rate
• Safety compliance (zero incidents target)
• Timely completion of assigned jobs

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day machine shop operations and ensure production requirements are met.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job progress, issues, and updates.

• Interpret engineering drawings and ensure accurate job execution using appropriate measuring instruments.

• Guide and support machine operators by providing technical recommendations based on job requirements.

• Estimate labor hours, materials, and ensure compliance with specifications and procedures.

  Operate and oversee machines including:

• Conventional Lathe Machines

• Milling Machines (DRO)

• Surface Grinding Machines

• Monitor machine performance and maintain records of machine status.

• Identify, report, and troubleshoot machine abnormalities.

• Ensure preventive maintenance activities and proper inventory management of tools and spare parts.

• Implement and enforce safety procedures during job setup and operations.

• Conduct routine quality checks and ensure compliance with quality standards.

• Coordinate with engineers and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely job completion.

  Special Skills (Preferred)

• Experience in White Metal Bearing (Sleeve Bearing) Re-Babbitting process and preparation.

  Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a service machine shop or similar environment Skills & Competencies

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

• Leadership and team supervision skills

• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Ability to plan, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines

The ideal candidate should have:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a machine shop or service/repair environment
• Proven experience in supervising and leading a team of machine operators

Technical Competencies:

• Strong practical knowledge of machining processes and operations

• Hands-on experience with:

  • Conventional Lathe Machines
  • Milling Machines (DRO)
  • Surface Grinding Machines

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately

• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments

Functional Skills:

• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple jobs under tight deadlines
• Experience in estimating labor hours and material requirements
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for machine-related issues
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
