Purpose of Position
Major Responsibilities
Qualification and Experience
Minimum 5+ years (Degree) or 8+ years (Diploma) of inspection experience in Power & Utility (P&U) and Electrical T&D equipment manufacturing.
Strong background in shop/vendor inspections for electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, GIS, MV/LV panels, cables, protection relays, meters, breakers, and power system components
Must have valid Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) approval for vendor inspection in the required categories (equipment specific approvals as applicable).
Proven experience reviewing SEC standards, project specifications, ITPs, QCPs, FAT procedures, drawings, and data sheets.
Experience working in vendor shops/OEM facilities and power equipment manufacturing plants.
Hands on experience witnessing FATs, shop testing, routine tests, type tests, and inspection release processes for SEC related equipment.
Strong ability to identify/report non conformities, follow SEC processes, and ensure compliance with applicable SEC technical standards.
Good knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and relevant electrical inspection standards used by SEC.
